Anyone of you have thought of by what age do you intend to retire and enjoy life?
Doing all the things you love to do?
I am thinking of reaching financial freedom by age of 45 (if possible, even earlier) and i can have the freedom to choose to work or not to. |

45 would be fantastic. But maybe 50?

Wish to have a good career by 35-40 years old..earning a good sum of money..and enough to let me live till old age. Hopefully even earlier to have a business of my own. | |

my strategy right now is maintain my main primary job, get a sideline income, save the money prudently and invest wisely.
getting passive income from stocks as well...
(yeah, i know that it sounds too "model answer"...but that's what i am doing now) | |

hmm... i also "planned" to semi-retire by age 40. meaning i can go for a lesser stressf full time job or part time/temps job. but by then may be it will be difficult, not impossible, to get a job. :p
but my FA review my finances and give me the bad news! LOL! anyway i also dun have many things i want to do if i really fully retire. so semi-retire shd be good for me.
btw, cpf website got a retirement calculator, no harm to go try that out. | |

Hmmm...i'll prob work til during my late 40s. Then quit my specialised job and go for sth more relaxing, just to past time. Then by then hope to set up a simple business and earn extra income? Can travel around the world. Do voluntary work. But doubt i'll migrate coz my kids prob still schooling in sg.
My strategy same as the rest i guess. Work hard and move up the ladder. get higher pay. invest savings on investments/shares. save as much as i can. | |

Get a source for passive income. Once its more than my expenditure, then I can be considered retired.
Hopefully by 35-40, I can do it.
