AN allegation of rape has been made by a woman in Penang - against one of the upholders of thelaw.
The woman, a mother of five in her thirties, claims that she was raped by a police officer, an assistant superintendent.
The alleged victim, a factory worker, also claims that the man sent pictures of her in the nude to her husband, an army officer, and two of his colleagues, reported TheStar.
The woman first met the policeman in 2004 when she went to see him over a traffic summons.
He was then with the police in Seberang Prai, Penang, and the two became friends.
The policeman was then transferred to Kuala Lumpur.
He wanted to continue seeing thewoman.
However, she refused and he threatened her.
It is not clear when the alleged rape took place, but it was some time in the past three years.
PHOTOS SENT TO HUBBY
To add to the woman's misery, the police officer, who is in his late 40s, allegedly sent her husband photographs of her in the nude, taken in a hotelroom in George Town.
The pictures, said to have been taken when the woman was asleep, were sent to her husband and his colleagues at the office lastmonth.
After getting the pictures, her husband confronted her, then took her to a police station last month to make a police report.
Statements have since been taken from both parties.
A laptop computer, a handphone and a printer were seized from the ASP's office in Kuala Lumpur lastweek.
The photographs have also beenhanded over to the police as evidence.
Police have classified the case as one of criminal intimidation by anonymous communication.
This carries a two-year jail term and a possible fine.
State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Koh Hong Sun confirmed yesterday that a police report had been lodged, but declined to elaborate as investigations were pending.
