there's always alot of hype surrounding IT fairs... imo not really fantastic, unless u go on e last day for bargain hunting. if not its usually juz more freebies rather than really low prices. anyway, after e fair, e promotions usually continue on for awhile at stores

They crap with you, windows vista having alot of problem now microsoft decided not to focus on vista if I not wrong, now they doing windows 7 don't anyhow believe people usually I will ask people if they want to buy macbook for what purpose if the person buy macbook not for designing I will just tell them straight is waste of money but for you as a art student you definitely need macbook, I saw my girl struggling with windows based system but all of her FYP need macbook end up she need to book the whole mac lab in school just to finish up her FYP although macbook is expensive but is definitely will follow you until you start to work so I don't think is waste of money, lastly mac os x doesn't have so much virus compare to windows if happen your thumbdrive kena virus from windows system and you plug it into mac your mac won't kena virus but your mac will display a black icon to symbolise is a virus so you can delete it without running antivirus but you need to have alot of patient and time to explore mac cause their OS is different from windows
