Hi

I'm intanding to take 'O' levels in 2010. Cos now taking NT sec 3. I want to take only 3 subjects. :

English
E-math
Comb sci ( Phy/Cam)

Any tips? THis is my first time.

I guess u should train a lot harder for these subjects before taking the O's, especially your english.

It's "Chem" not "Cam".
It's "intending" not "intanding".
It's "I intend" not "I'm intending".

U can go to MOE website to look around for more info perhaps?

3 subjects is definitely not enought if you intend to go to a polytechnic or any tertiary institution for that matter I believe. You will need at least 5 subjects, you can try taking these subjects:

English
Elementary Math(E Math)
Chinese
Combined Humanities( Either Social Studies + Geography / History)
Combined Science ( Chem + Phy)
Principles of Accounts

These few subjects are easier to score for and notice i listed 6 subjects coz you'll definitely need a spare

Going to ITE first then go poly. If got 'o' level cert then better right.

Hmmm but if you're going to ITE then poly, then don't really need O Levels already right?
In the past, O levels was like kinda impt but nowadays i doubt so? It's like dip or deg is what that matters?

Pardon me if im wrong....

But anyway, my frd has ITE cert but she's earning deg-holder's pay now.

You can most prolly get into ITE after you complete secondary school. But if you intend to take private O levels you might as well aim for a place in poly, after all most ITE grads end up in poly.

yea, i agree. since u r taking o lvls in 2010, u still have 2 more years to prepare. might as well take an additional 2-3 o lvl subjects and get into poly.

nor nor, you also have to consider which private school you wanna study at and such, I doubt cmpb will wanna defer your NS if you intend to study by yourself.
