NKorea fires short-range missile: report

SEOUL: North Korea appeared to have test-fired a short-range missile into the Sea of Japan on Wednesday, Yonhap news agency said.

Yonhap quoted an unidentified government source as saying the missile with a range of 100 kilometres (62 miles) was fired at 11:30am (0320 GMT).

South Korean officials refused to confirm the report. - AFP/yy
