 Nicole Richie reveals she's four months pregnant
LOS ANGELES - US reality television star Nicole Richie, who has to serve a four-day jail sentence for drunk driving, confessed to being four months pregnant in a television interview.
In an interview to be aired Thursday and Friday, the 25-year-old daughter of soul singer Lionel Richie was asked by ABC Television's Diane Sawyer if she was expecting her first child.
"Yes, I am. We are. I'm almost four months," she answered, according to excerpts released Tuesday.
The father is her partner Joel Madden, the singer of rock band Good Charlotte.
Nicole Richie was sentenced to four days in jail Friday after pleading guilty to charges of driving while intoxicated December 11 near Los Angeles. She has until September 28 to begin serving her sentence.
Richie, the best friend of former celebrity jailbird Paris Hilton, was also ordered to pay a 2,048-dollar fine and was placed on probation for three years.
Richie's co-star on the reality show "The Simple Life," hotel heiress Paris Hilton, served 23 days in jail in June in Los Angeles for violating probation by driving with a suspended license. - AFP/fa |
