Corduroy & Finch (Bukit Timah, near Sixth Avenue) or Fosters Cafe (Holland V)... best for couples, because it's very romantic.
I only went to C&F before, the food very nice, the service very good, even the toilets smell good (got scented candles). They also sell "Handsome Strawberries" which are strawberries coated in dark and white chocolate, but shaped into tuxedos. SO cute. Their drinks are nice too.
If you have the $$, Equinox. After dinner still can go have drinks at New Asia Bar. Super nice. The view's breathtaking too, especially at night.
I eat buffet more hiong than bf. *shy*
