SINGAPORE : The newly refurbished bus interchange at Ang Mo Kio Hub officially opened on Saturday and it got the stamp of approval from commuters and businesses.

The new interchange is fully air-conditioned, making commuting a breeze for users.

It is also safer for passengers, especially with sensors that detect when a bus enters a bay.

All 15 bus services were housed at a temporary interchange nearby when the Hub was being constructed.

Retail and food outlets located at the nearby Hub have also benefited from the opening.

A worker at one cosmetics shop says business has improved by at least 30 per cent and commuters are smiling too.

"The new interchange is nice, it's clean, it's better than last time," said one commuter.

"For the passenger, after shopping you can just hop on to the bus. It's more convenient," said another. - CNA/ch

well sure,just these all praising commuters dun complain when bus fare increase.Sure it is more comfortable but someone will have to pay for it and it is definately not our transport company.

the interchange was original from there .. it jus move to the place near NYP.. that side so ulu and inconvenient.

No matter whether they change to aircon or remain as non-aircon.. the bus fares still increase.. so why not have a aircon one.

well just that i think it is not really needed bah,but well maybe it is just me.Cos i am used to no air con already.

Yeah bus fare will surely increase but with something which i think is not really necessary,it will go up more.But well if people wants to pay for the additional comfort,sure they are entitled to that.
