What has mankind being doing.
Since the early days in history,
Violence, greed, deceits, oppressions, perverseness..
The poor, suffering,
The mighty, fear of being overthrown,
The rich fear their wealth being plundered,
The intelligent, fear being dispised,
The foolish, fear their fun days end.
Who truly cares for the poor,
have compassion for the suffering.
Who speaks from the heart,
with sincerity that cannot be bought.
We have betrayed our deepest conscience,
Chased after illusions like the wind,
Prided ourselves with capabilities and science,
Walked in the shadows of others.
When the music cease, the party end,
so does all the fun and happiness we thought would last.
When the earth shakes, oceans roar,
Our feets tremble and senses awakened.
Must it be till then we realise our weakness,
and foolishness of pride.
We have done nothing worthy of this land,
which we coveted to be ours, from the Maker. |

Let me get this right...
Ain't earthquakes caused by the earth's plates moving, crashing into each other, overruning each other or even pulling away from each other?
All these due to the energy within these huge masses of rocks?
Tsunamis are caused by underwater earthquakes.... Cus as the seabed rises or fall.... it causes the sea water to be displaced....
So all these are natural phenomenons.... nothing to do with Mother Nature getting pissed.
As for the increase in temperatures, yes, you might be right...
We've contributed to global warning somehow...
But earthquakes and tsunamis? Nope...
Furthermore, the magnitute of these earthquakes and tsunamis if big enough, would also cause avalanches, landslides and other disasters to follow suit due to its impact.
However, to play safe, don't go holidaying in Japan this July
Also I pity China if the prediction is true... looks like they're gonna get hit over and over again by moving plates! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Quake measuring 5.1 strikes remote China region

BEIJING: An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 struck a remote part of China on Monday, the US Geological Survey said, but it was not clear if it had affected drainage operations at the "quake lake" in Tangjiashan.
The quake, which struck at 01:56 am (1756 GMT) at a depth of 10 kilometres, hit southern Qinghai province, which borders Sichuan province where an 8.0-magnitude tremor on May 12 left more than 69,000 people dead.
Monday's earthquake was 390 kilometres northeast of the Tibetan capital Lhasa and several hundred miles from Miangyang, which lies below the "quake lake". Xinhua state press said the quake area was about 5,000 metres above sea level and was sparsely populated.
The Tangjiashan lake formed as a result of the devastating May 12 earthquake, which triggered a huge landslide that blocked the Jianjiang river, creating a massive body of water. - AFP/de

Every one predicts different thing and they say for example this person X will die, why that predictor nv inform that person X so the will take necessary precaution? This will saves us all this trouble from having people being a sure predictor.(DUDE,this person X won`t be such an idiot right not to take necessary precaution that he is gonna die?) |

The quake was felt throughout the peninsula and as far away as Athens, causing panic in villages and towns in the west and the north of the Peloponnese, when it struck around 3:25 pm (1325 GMT), NET public television reported.
The National Observatory of Athens located the quake 205 kilometres west of the capital near the town of Andravida. Observatory research chief Gerassimos Papadopoulos said the epicentre was about 10 kilometres underground.
A man in his sixties was killed in the village of Kato Achaia when the roof of his house collapsed, firefighters said.
And an 80-year-old woman died of a heart attack in the same village in the northwest of the Peloponnese, police said.
Thirty-seven people were injured, suffering mostly from fractures according to health service officials and rescuers.
Dozens of houses were damaged, and 50 collapsed near the epicentre.
George Stavrakakis of the Athens Observatory's Geodynamic Institute said the quake was "the biggest recorded in the region" in a long time.
"The quake was terrible. We have not had such a big one even though we're used to them," said the mayor of the town of Pyrgos, George Paraskevopoulos. "It lasted for quite a while and everybody ran from their homes."
Pyrgos' Agios Nicolaos church suffered serious damage and several buildings in the town centre showed cracks after the quake, he added.
Firefighters said old houses in Pyrgos, Amaliada, surrounding villages and in the port area of Patras were also damaged.
Rescuers managed to save a little girl in the village of Fostena after she got stuck in her home and a family of three and two other people were also rescued from their houses in the village of Bartholomiou.
Bartholomiou mayor Christos Vryonis said about 100 buildings had been damaged.
A landslide cut a road at Diakopto in the north of the peninsula and the national railway company OSE stopped all traffic on the Patras-Pyrgos line for checks.
Electricity was cut in several villages after the quake felled pylons.
Papadopoulos expected Sunday's quake to be followed by a series of strong aftershocks in the next couple of days.
Some had already been registered on Sunday afternoon, with the biggest reaching 4.7 on the Richter scale, he said. He called on people in the region to keep calm and urged authorities to quickly check the state of buildings.
Engineers were to inspect possible damage in schools, the education ministry said.
The quake was also felt in southern Italy, across the Ionian sea from Greece, Italian officials said but no one was hurt and no damage was reported.
Greece experiences more seismic activity than any other country in Europe, accounting for half of the continent's recorded quakes.
And the Peloponnese has often been at the centre of seismic activity, with a 6.5 quake registered in February off its coast, just over a month after similar tremors which did not cause any damage or injuries.
A 6.2 quake in 1986 killed 20 people in the port of Kalamata in the southern Peloponnese.
The US Geological Survey measured Sunday's earthquake at magnitude 6.1, placing its epicentre 33 kilometres southwest of Patras. - AFP/ms/de | | | | | http://www.channelnewsasia.com/cna/c...uake&id=352779
