Wooow. You really very on leh. Your daughter 5 months and I believe those bowlers sure became nannies too. HEEHEE! My active girl won't just sit there for whole 2 hours. Still have to bring along my maid, so sick cos my girl to used to her...... (Have to look after both in the end)..

Maybe one of these days, when I am going down on Friday nite, will let you guys and girls knows. See if any kakis wanna join too. (Cheers)...

currently using ebonite maxim 12lbs, bowled for abt half a yr and average score ard 130.. sucky!
my bowling spots are safra tampines and kovan superbowl. cya guys ard!

Hi everyone, i am new to this forum and i am totally new to bowling. Pardon me if i am posting at the wrong thread, cause i am hoping to join u guys/ladies for bowling session if possible, because i am hoping to improve my game.

I am a self taught right hand spinner, who had been playing for about 2+months. I am using a plastic ball ebonite maxim weight 11. My ball revolution does not belong to those high rev and ball speed is around 17 mph. I am seriously hoping that someone here will be able to guide me along as i am not really aware what is wrong with my technique from the taking off to the end posture. Had been reading and looking for videos to correct myself but still believe its better to learn thru actual hands on.

Can someone kindly tell me if i am required to change to a better ball for spinner. I was told by the pro shop owner that its good to switch over early. I had been intro to the following balls:

1) Total NV
2) Black widow pearl
3) Angular one

The balls mention above are all 11.6 and selling at $230 with drilling and plugging. I am not aware of which is better, hope that some spinner or anyone who is well versed in it to give your advise.

Hello, and welcome to SGCBC.

If you're a spinner using a 11-lb ball, and intend to switch to a reactive ball of the same weight, I advise you not to get those high-end balls like the ones you mentioned. Reason being, the core of a 11-lb ball will be just a generic pancake core which is pretty much the same as any plastic/polyester ball (like your own Maxim). The only difference, perhaps, will be the coverstock (reactive urethane instead of polyester). So no point paying so much for a high-end ball when the reaction of it will be the same as a low-end reactive ball.

If you really want to change to a reactive ball, just go for a low-end reactive one will do, for e.g. the Ebonite Tornado.
