Need Help!! Shopping In shenzhen or Zhuhai?? - Singapore's Online Community

Anyone pls help.... 3 ladies of us will be going hong kong for hoilday on this 30th july 2008. Will be spending 1 day to either shenzhen or zhuhai for a good,cheap shopping.(LV,nike, Gucci,Adidas etc). Which one got more places to shop? Which one got more things to buy? which one is cheaper also? Really dun know which 1 to go.... Please advice.Tks so much.

Actually both Zhuhai & Shenzhen has shopping. Preferable u can spend 1 day at each place. Zhuhai has more shopping near the Macau-Zhuhai border. For Shenzhen there are also a lot of shopping around their metro station 'Lao Jie'

I only can go to 1 place only. Only got 1 visa. Tats y was wondering which 1 will be better for shopping? Some said this good and some said that good. Still very unsure to which to go.

Go to ShenZhen better. Can get electronic stuff and imitation branded goods.

Erm i think you should try zhuhai, den can shunbian go macau shop. Macau is good! I went to shenzhen stay over nite before. Don't really like shenzhen coz its like a fake city. Very unreal. Not like HK, bustling with ppl.

I just came back from Shenzhen... Please remember that after July 1st, all Singaporean required to have Visa before enter China.

For Shenzhen, there is a lot of place to go... for shopping apparels, jewelries and accessories, go to 罗湖区，东门步行街, you can go there from HK by train and change to MRT (RMB2) after pass Shenzhen custom.

For Hotel in Shenzhen, I suggest you should go to The Guest House (one of the safest hotels around which is operated by Government).

how much $ to shenzhen?

For ticket to HongKong, it is around $300+ with JetStar Asia.
Taxis starting fee is RMB12.50... 20km is around RMB60.
Hotel is RMB300 per night, checkout time is 12pm.

Don't fly directly to Shenzhen airport, that place very Ulu one, some more budget airline only arrive morning 1am....

After arrive HongKong, buy a 八達通 (something like ezlink) with value HKD100 at the airport counter and take bus to Train station and from Train station to 罗湖, go thru custom, buy a one time ticket RM2 and take MRT to 东门.

By the way, 罗湖 custom close around at 11.30pm to 12am.

罗湖 or 东门 sell more things? Which is cheaper? Both sell the same things?from wat i know 罗湖 is easy to reach if i go from kowloon by mtr. then from 罗湖 how to go to 东门. take how long to 东门. so should go 东门 or 罗湖 first? i really going there for faked branded like nike and adidas or some gucci.

You can get all things there... I got myself a nike sandals for only RMB15 (of course fake one)...

东门 is a place in 深圳罗湖区...

罗湖 is a big place divided into two, one side at HK, one side at Shenzhen and there is a custom in between.
