National Runway Cycling and Skating 2008

Date: 25 May 2008

Time: 8.00 am

Venue: Paya Lebar Air Base, 200 Airport Road Singapore 534257

Event Description:
Jointly organised by SAFRA National Service Association, the Republic of Singapore Air Force and supported by the Singapore Sports Council to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, National Runway Cycling has been renamed as National Runway Cycling & Skating (NRWCS) from 2008 in recognition of increasing support from the skating community. NRWCS will once again promise a day of exhilarating fun for participants.

Bring your family and friends to join in a Sunday morning of leisure exercise and be entertained by exciting fringe activities at the end of the route. NRWCS 08 is also a key event of the National Family Week 2008.

Routes:
Family Route*: 6km
Leisure Route: 15km
Shimano Endurance Challenge:
Cyclists - 45km
Skaters - 30km

*Note: You do not need to be in a family to join the Family Route - it is for participants who wish to cycle or inline-skate for a shorter distance.

Registration:
Registration is now open. Register online at the SAFRA website.

ha. i still remember last yr i was kanna arrow for the FOD walk at the ranway. the weather was super hot sia. now ord no more sai kang

any idea need any admission ticket?? cos it's a air base!

i rent the bike and they send me the redeem ticket nia. no other entrance stuff? my friend told me need online print!! ><

Just purchased a Shimano Bicycle online and everything go well. Even the redemption coupon for the bicycle posted to me. But received a call from SAFRA to inform me that i won't be getting the bicycle. Just got the call on 230508. Purchased it on 110508. They just say sold out. But the funny thing is they even posted a receipt for me to collect my bicycle. Last 2 day before the event then call me. REALLY spoilt my MOOD. Even if they refund me the money , REALLY GOT A BAD IMPRESSION OF THIS EVENT.
They just say no choice that the bicycle sold out, like not their fault.
Just to add on. The runway cycling is on the 250508.
