yeah, e current squad got to impress the new manager all over again from Day 1 to secure their places, so e performance will be better. He also bring in his own coaches, so the training also different, unable to buy new players until the window open, the manager tactical knowledge and decision making can/may turn a losing game into a draw or a win. still gt many other factors but in e end still must depends on the players to get e results.

I remember reading how Harry Redknapp was unhappy with the appointment of Capello as England Manager. He said that players at that level don't need any more coaching, just management, and that English managers can do as well.

While I agree that international players should not need skills coaching any more, there is a great need for the manager to decide on the right tactics for particular games. I think Jol was just unfortunate to have started the season with injuries to key players.

Well, I remember someone saying that this thread is actually about Everton. I must congratulate the Everton owners for keeping faith with Moyes all these years - it has done the club a world of good to have a manager for a sustained period of time.

One Everton player I wish would cross over to Anfield is Tim Cahill - he is their key player, always dangerous, always likely to score goals!

It has proven time and again that a manager needs time to build a team. Rome was not built in a day. Jol was given about 3 years and he has improved Spurs quite abit. Newcastle Utd is another team that likes to change its managers quite often. This will cost instablities in the team's harmony and morale. Every manager should be given time to build his team and not be judge just by a couple of bad results.

It is near impossible for Tim Cahill to sign for Liverpool given the rivalry between the 2 teams.

Yes, management is the key for England, but the english managers don't dare to drop players with high rep, Capello is different, he even dare to drop Juventus icon during his time there, his "winning above anything else" could turns England into a force in world football but i don't hope to see it happen. =x

Cahill is good lah but he won't be able to break into the starting 11 for Liverpool..

Well Ramos does make a difference, however perhaps it is too early to tell, jol did make some headway but then lost steam along the way.

It would be very hard for Everton to sell or buy a Liverpool player directly and it vice versa for Liverpool.

These players are treated like traitor and Juda.

Just like Sol Campbell signed for Arsenal on a free transfer from Spurs. Spurs fans had never forgave him even though he was a great servant to them before signing for Arsenal. Same goes for Ashley Cole who signed for Chelsea.

Sol was really unlucky he wanna move to a club that could give him mroe success but end up going to their direct rivals, Sheringham was in the same situation but he was treated like a saint cuz he never move to London teams =X

A. Cole deserved it imo, $_$ player.

Players that made a direct switch to their club's arch rivals are never forgiven!

Sol won both the EPL title and FA Cups with Arsenal while he won nothing with Spurs.

okay lah .. change topic.

Why does Moyes always jump up and down whenever something goes against his players? Especially when Everton plays Liverpool .. wah he looks like he was going to eat somebody up!

He should learn to keep cool and be a bit like Rafa - try looking at his watch!!

Being a football manager can be stressing especially when your team is just an average team playing against one of the top 4 and especially the opponent is your arch rival.
