I see that there's loads of love threads around here but none relate to that of our parents. Aren't you curious how your mum and dad met? How's their story like? Sweet? Bitter? Or just an arrangement from our grandparents? Have you ever asked your parents this question?

I tried asking since young and my mum just smiled and said "ask ur dad.." And ya, my dad also say the same thing. I got fedup after some time and gave up. :handsup:

according to what was told to me... my father has been staying in my mother's family since young. then they just married lor. but i remember seeing this pic of my dad and another woman, hand in hand when he was very very young (totally no wrinkles one!). so i was wondering... if already stay with mom le... why can still be with another girl?:confused2:

haha. my parents story so funny.

my mom told me on that particular day that she met my dad, she was supposed to go on date with this guy. so she waited at one place and suddenly from afar she saw a man who looks like the guy. so she waved to him. she didnt know that the guy was actually my dad and not the guy she supposed to date! and then my dad brings the courage to approach my mom.
and my mom was so paiseh cos wrong person. and on the spot my dad asked her out. and she agreed! like she was supposed to go on date with that guy but in the end went with my dad. hahaha so funny leh.

then still can go arcade play the soccer thing. lol

Your parents' love story so cute! That's really so fate! And I must say your dad very brave...on the spot ask your mom out! And your mom so game..agreed to his date request! lolz...

my parents ah...quite typical, my mama got to know my papa through frens..cos they working at the same place..then mama hear other ppl made positive comments on my papa and somehow got to know each other..the only thing i vividly remember my mama saying occasionally was: "Aiya, in the past got alot of many other suitors with better criteria interested in me, but don't know why I ended up choosing your father!" :shifty3: :biggrin4:

my parents are neighbours cos my mum live one floor lower than my dad then they gt to know each other and become together.

I don't know how my parents knew each other and I doubt I would ever find out. Anyway, they have been divorced for more than a decade and still refused to speak to each other... T.T

both my parents were gamblers when they young. they met each other through friends. wasn't love at first sight but after some time they got together.

my mum had a lot of rich suitors, my dad was not good looking and he was poor as well. but my mum only had eyes for him. despite the hardship, my mum stayed on with my dad.

oh, and my dad is younger than my mum by 6 years. apparently, 30 year ago, jie di lian was in fashion le! :rock: so i followed my parents' footsteps cos my boyfriend is 5 years younger than me!

Happiness is not found at the end of the road, it is experienced along the way.

So take not for granted each moment of your life and you will find a reason to be happy each day.
