Default Mr. Brown Show

http://www.mrbrownshow.com

The Mr Brown Shows are all humourous, or in one sense, it contains, critisims, to many things, think about it while listening to them. And check the previous entries too, there is one 'Singapore night life' series, TOTALLY FUNNY!!

Show Information
There are also some well-known local blogs run by private individuals who have ventured into podcasting. The content of some of these podcasts can be quite entertaining.

Dr Balaji Sadasivan, Senior Minister of State for Information, Communications and the Arts, 3 April 2006

The mrbrown show was created in March 2005 by Lee Kin Mun, aka mr brown.

Since then it’s grown from a one iPod + iTalk + Lapel Mic into a show that uses some serious equipment.

In collaboration with Benjamin Lee, aka Mr Miyagi, the mrbrown show showcases guests from various quarters in Singapore, but mostly pokes fun at anything the hosts find funny on the day of the recording.

‘Zhng My Car‘, a recurring series in the mrbrown show, is a spoof of MTV’s Pimp My Ride, and has seen a phenomenal aggregate download figure of over 100,000. Nuts. Now, if only we were paid $1 per download or thereabouts.

And recently, the Persistently Non-political Podcast series, an almost-daily special aired during the Singapore General Elections 2006, became a national phenomenon. Especially the infamous Episode 6, which saw 60,000 downloads (and climbing), not counting the copies being mass-emailed and forwarded through entire companies, sometimes more than once.

Episode 6, aka the Bak Chor Mee (Minced Meat Noodles) episode, spawned new local catchphrases and even a desktop wallpaper featuring a pork liver mascot.

If this all seems bizarre, don’t look at us. We’re just two guys goofing off.
