AIA allow cases to pend for 3 months? =)
i've called hotline..
they say will get back to me but didnt. haha

i think Pru also allow cases to pend ya....
i haf a frd who claim for PruShield n pend for more than 3 mths...
the agent follow up diligently but in the end the doc in the hospital cock up....
so tats y drag on...

the issue s not wz Prudential or the agent...
so the issue lies wz the doc n the hospital....

in ur case, i guess the issue lies wz the AIA agent who happen to b ur cousin...
been objective, it s clearer tat he did not do a good job in followin up in the 1st place....
instaed he push blame(as wat u had mentioned earlier)....

lol. i asked him if he can push in the case so the claims can be done sooner. he say its pending in AIA system and he cant do anything to rush them. i started counting when i've recieve a interim bill from the hospital. its not the final bill because the shield plan hasn't been approved.

u mentioned tat ur cousin pushed all the blame n did not do much follow ups earlier...
now u mentioned he followed up but mentioned the claim s stuck in AIA....

i m a bit confused here....

btw for Shield 2 claim as soon as possible, it will need the insurance company n the agent, CPF n the hospital to work tgr...
i hope tat since u r an agent, u r aware of tat n realised tat government sectors tend to do things in slow motion 4 u unless ur surname s Lee....

3 months started from the date the interim bill came out like i mention.
its now at the CPF board and will stay there for 2 weeks before claims comes out.
so AIA side held it for 3 months.

if not, it will b AIA's fault...

Did some calculation with regards to GE's totalshield which is a ride that covers deductible and co-insurance so the enhanced medishield plan becomes a first dollar paying plan.

Based on client age of 54, a client would be paying roughly $300 to protect $3000 (which is the amount payble by another client who purchase another enhanced shield plan + rider).

Understand that the premium for prushield rider is slightly lower than totalshield but still to me the extra premium cost to protect $3k doesnt seems justiable and worthwhile.

medical bills... how much do you think will ur hospitalization bills reach in the event of very serious illness or accident...

i saw a clip of a guy who got into an accident and he has to stay in the hospital for 1 entire year due to his injury.. the backbone was goners and he operated 3 times just on the backbone... needless to say the legs were gone too and there's no way you can use it.

imagine how high his bills were...

3k deductibles. perharps out of a few hundred thousands he manage to reduce the bill size to about less than 30k.

but 30k..... where do u find that money if u're already that seriously ill or injured...

the plan itself is rather new. i believe premiums from different companies will go down eventually

besides its not 300 a month but a year. a dollar a day?
