SINGAPORE: MediaCorp employees are taking to the stage for a 24-hour challenge for charity.
They will also be attempting to set a national record for the ‘most number of people singing karaoke in 24 hours.’
High-pitched crooning and booty-shaking filled the stage at the studio as MediaCorp employees from various business groups came together to belt out renditions of various songs.
The company's keeping in tune with its charity projects, with its very first 24-hour karaoke challenge.
Lucas Chow, CEO of MediaCorp, said: "This is the last CSR event or the corporate social responsibility event for the financial year. We're using this to raise funds for the two adopted charities of MediaCorp."
The Rainbow Centre Balestier School and HCA Hospice Care will receive all donations from this fundraiser.
And to top it off, MediaCorp will match dollar-for-dollar for each dollar donated.
Aside from its noble cause, when it comes to having fun, the company's top honchos showed just who's the boss.
Mr Chow continued: "I guess how we sing is not very important. I think it has to come from the heart because this event is regarding raising money for the less fortunate people."
