Star Hub MaxOnline Ultimate offers Compaq Presario V3632AU Notebook.

It is a AMD Althlon X2 dual core processor. However, They claim it is worth $1499. I was wondering if the notebook is actually worth the price? I saw acer dual 2 core is only at 1399 and most amd models are worth just over $1000.

Any advice?

hmm... for a AMD... even its a dual core, for my understanding, it's worth less than 1k... and I believe the plan need you to sign on for 1.5yrs... which I think its not worth it... just my opinion though... =)

Not worth cos it is an Athlon X2, not even a Turion X2!
Some shops at SLS are selling Athlon X2 laptops for less than $1000.

Desktop: AMD X2 3600+ 2GHz, 3GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 17" LCD display
Laptop: 14" Intel Core 2 Duo (Dell 640m), 7" Intel Celeron (ASUS EEE PC)

Well they offer a laptop which cost 999 then advertise as 999 not 1499. in fact they would tie you down for 2 and 1/2 year I just found out yesterday. I hope that they would change their offer soon.

I think these stock are running out after promotion yesterday.
