Everytime i play mario kart ds i always get last (WFC) , unless i use items to shoot them down, lah. I found out that they always go SUPER FAST and get a faster headstart than me. I wonder why.. I mean its like the game start liao, then i accelerate, by pressing A button and they can go much faster than me. WHY !?!?!?!?!

im having the same problem lol. my best position so far is 5th

the only time i get power boost is when i click the X, but i think u can only use it once.

eh when they count down 3 2 1
when they put "2" den after ard 2 sec
u press ur accelerate button, can boost ur car .
but if press too early the black smoke will come out ._.

to be more exact. when the number "2" starts to grow big. hold down on your a button and you'll shoot off when the whistle blows.

You're playing WFC right, watch out for "snakes". They go boosting all over the shop and it's impossible to beat them unless you know how to "snake" too...

There are really some good players out there. usually ang mohs (i can;t beat them ) the japanese and koreans seem to suck at this game. at least those i've played against =p

Anyway cheats in r4 cant be used in wfc hor.. i mean those cheats that need to press the button (Y) de.

Dun think can use cheats, anyway practice makes perfect, keep playing and you know how to control better. Btw which character u using most of the time ?

my favourite is yoshi, followed by bowser. yoshi's handling is superb, don't even need to boost to beat ppl, just drive normally. Bowser needs more skills in handling and if you want to win, you *have* to boost around corners. But he's the heaviest of the bunch which is great cz nobody can knock him off course, and he can knock ppl right off the track! Great for the rainbow, ridge, seaside tracks!

Btw, "snaking" means to continually use the power slide non-stop. you do know how to power slide right? actually the game calls it something else, but i'm so used to calling it power slide because of other racing games =p It's difficult to do though and most ppl on wfc don't like ppl who do it =p

I use yoshi all times and I got mostly 1st or 2nd when compete with inside characters. Cos i think yoshi is the easiest to control.

to get 1st or 2nd in WFC, you mus noe the map well enuff lah and jus power-drift in every curve or turn.. in case nobody noe how to power-drift, you hav to hold R1 then press the directional button left and right rapidly then you wil find you drift in flame.. it will speed up ur kart whenever you keep doin tis..

you forget one part of the instruction. when your cart starts throwing red flames, release R to blast your cart ahead. when you do this continually, that's called snaking. this makes your cart travel at the fastest possible speed all the time. but it's damn hard to control... ...

but in the end, games on WFC is random lah. maybe you'll get a bunch of noobs to play with then you can enjoy a stress free game where you don't have to think about all this techniques or remember how the course plays out =p
