SGC$: 7.40 Bank: 100.00 Total SGC$: 107.40 | this is what i got from other forum do you agree? 1. Do Man Utd fans think that Anderson, Nani and Hargreaves are good purchases? Hargreaves will be an integral part of ManU's EPL defence next season. ManU seriously lacks someone who will be focused on the defensive duties and play in a no nonsense way. Nani and Anderson are players for the future. I seriously doubt they will feature more than 50% of ManU's matches given that Giggs and Scholes are still around. The thing about getting all these young players is that you never know whether you are getting value for money until much later. Ronaldo took 2 seasons to cement his place and subsequently shine. So I am looking at earliest 2008/2009 before Nani and Anderson cements their starting place as well. That is if they manage to make it. 2. Which new players does the team need? (Who and in what positions?) Given that Ferguson went on a mad shopping spree for midfielders, it probably means ManU will play a 4-3-3 4-5-1 formation mainly for next season. If based on a 4-4-2 system, ManU would really need a clinical finisher like Miroslav Klose or Klas Jan Huntelaar who can convert all the chances created through the wings. However with Rossi coming back and Ferguson not really keen to offload Saha, I guess there's not much chance of a new striker for the Red Devils. ManU also need another reliable central defender in case Ferdinand or Vidic faces injuries or suspensions. He need not be world class, just reliable and no nonsense football would suffice. Gerard Pique will be recalled from Zaragoza and I hope he will be able to serve as an able deputy. 3. Which players should be sold before the start of the new season? I see alot of players who should leave. Silvestre, Wes Brown, John O Shea and Louis Saha. Some players who might have to leave for their own good will be Alan Smith, Fletcher and Park Ji Sung. Given the recent purchases of the 3 midfielders, I really do not see how the above mentioned trio will be able to feature next season. I like them but I don't think its fair if they are constantly consigned to the bench. ![]() To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
