SYNOPSIS

Maggie Theng is arguably the first Singapore artiste to successfully penetrate the Chinese Popular Music Industry in Taiwan before Kit Chan and Stefanie Sun. She entered show business in 1977 and was named a Top Ten Singapore/Malaysia singer in an event organized by Rediffusion. Her album, 牵引 Qian Yin (Leading Along) released in 1981 sold more than 200,000 copies and topped the charts for a long period.

Maggie has recorded more than 50 albums, including an album each of English, Bahasa Indonesia and Thai songs. In 2006, she returned after a 17-year hiatus with a new Mandarin album entitled 出发Chu Fa (A New Journey) featuring her brand new look and her new singing style that promises to win the hearts of many old and young.

Maggie has a string of well-loved tunes from the local drama serials as well as her won hit songs such as “ Xiao Fei Yu (小飞鱼) “ “ Wen Rou de Ye 温柔的夜 “ , “ He Shui Shan 河水山 “ , “ Xin Ling Zhi Yue 心灵之约 “ , “ Su 愫 “ , “ Wo Shi Zhe Zai Ai Yi Ci 我试着再爱你一次 “ , “ Ru he Dui Ni Shuo 如何对你说 “ and many more.
