lol we seems to be targetting the capts from those clubs just below us, use CL football to tempt them. =X

why rafa dun want aim for Arteta? like that can keep Alonso, both can bring the best out of each other, somemore surely costs less then 15M and Mikel can play on the right also.

They will sell ... but probably not to Liverpool lah!

Arteta's not a bad choice, but if we want another midfielder we might as well just hold on to Alonso. We really need another player who can score goals regularly - whether he is called a midfielder/winger/striker ... whatever!

Rafa has just said that Daniel Agger's prolonged absence probably cost Liverpool the title last season. I don't know about the title, but we certainly would have done much better if Agger had played. Agger not only defends well, he is also very good moving forward and ... he can score great goals too!

Liverpool needs to have one creative midfield who can unlock the defence...cant always depends on Gerrard or Torres....

Well, looks like the Crouch transfer is going through - apparently Portsmouth is willing to pay 10m for him. He'll be a good acquisition for Pompey. I just hope that he won't score against us!

And that leaves only Kyut and Voronin as covers. While I have doubts about Voronin's finishing ability, I think Kyut may come good this season. He scored a good central striker-type goal for Holland at the Euro and I think he could have done more if he wasn't played on the flanks by van Basten. In fact, I feel that van Basten made a critical mistake when he replaced Kyut with van Persie against Russia - well, that's just too bad!

So, great if we can get Keane but if not, there's no need to press the panic button yet ..

I think Pool declare interest in Keane is mainly to distract and unsettle the player only. To pay 20M for him = mad

Anyway u guys hope who will be wearin No. 7 next season? Hopefully not Degen or Dossena hor :p

You could be right about Keane .. another smoke screen. However, I like the idea of Irishmen playing for Liverpool - we almost always have them and they almost always do well for the Reds : Mark Lawrenson, Ronnie Whelan, Ray Houghton, Steve Finnan etc.. So, I hope another Irish player will wear the famous red.

No. 7 is a legendary shirt, worn by the likes of Ian Callaghan, Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish - relatively speaking, Kewell 'disgraced' that number.

Who is fit to wear that number now? I hope they won't put it on the new guys or even a non-British player. So who? I honestly don't know anyone deserving enough.

Num 7 ... if barry enters, i tink would be him... shld be...

if keane is a smoke screen, then who u guys tink rafa is the rafa ideal signings? frankly speaking, i didnt expect liverpool to get interest about keane, a most likely rotation player, for the price of 20m...

To be? or not to be? this a the question! DUH!!!

i tink Barry will tk 6 bah, it is empty at the moment.

Compare to previous seasons Benitez seems to be abit slow in bringin in his targets, i think this might be his last season if he fails to bring No. 19 back nxt summer so must aim carefully then sign.
