Not only digging. Liverpool is already in the hole together with the other PL clubs! The clubs and fans are in the biggest losers in this modern game.

Who are the winners? The players (very few, if they are disciplined enough) and (definitely) the agents! Some agents literally manage the players' lives! When the players retire (or nobody want them anymore), the agents would have become filthy rich and just chuck the players aside.

What to do? Most players bo tak chek one - brains all messed up due to too much power heading and finances all messed up due to too many girl friends.

Will be interesting to know how many superstar players stay rich years after they retire - I believe Keegan and Dalglish are rich.

I think using squad these days is crazy - sometimes you wonder whether you're watching rugby or football! Very few people bother about the significance of numbers nowadays.

However, I cannot think of many Liverpool greats who wore number 10 - only John Toshack, John Barnes and David Johnson.

Sorry lah, but I don't even consider Owen a 'great', much less a 'legend'. If you talk about 'playmaker' then the greatest no. 10 for me is John Barnes.

I think if there is no other clubs interested, then it's crazy/stupid to tarik harga since this is Crouch's final year of contract. Legally, he can sign for a club in January and join them next summer and Liverpool will get a big fat rotten egg i.e. '0'.

Opinions/thoughts anyone?
I think we got him fopr much higher price, 12-15 million Rafa might sell. Problem is not cover now, he is selling Voronin and Kewell.

True it make no sense if Rafa is holding on too long unless he intend to give him new contract but the player want to play regular football which I think Crouch cannot compete with Kuyt at the moment. At the end we see whether Crouch is going for FREE or with some $$$.

Liverpool interested to buy wide midfield player with Bentley and Downing reported as the target. Who do you think is the right man?

My opinion is buy Downing if i need to choose, this guy is excellent in passing and accurate like DB. He will provide the much needed cross from the flang to the striker and attacking midfielder. In Boro he had been playing very well even though their team is sucks. So we'll see if he comes.

What do you think?

Either 1 will do for me but both won't come cheap, somemore Downing just signed an extention towards the end of last season, with babel also playing on e left, i think our chances of signing bentley is higher as he already declare he want to play for a big club next season.

I don't mind to get Keane with this kind of money, he is deadly ...... Selling Crouch to Spurs to get Keane??? Does not make sense to me, why Spurs want Crouch to replace their Captain.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is reportedly keen on bringing the striker to Anfield to partner Fernando Torres up front as the Reds go in search of their first Premier League title.

According to the paper Liverpool are willing to offer Tottenham a massive £20 million for Keane and are happy to throw in Peter Crouch as part of the deal too.

Keane, 27, joined Spurs from Leeds in 2002 and is the club captain at White Hart Lane. His current partnership with Dimitar Berbatov is one of the most prolific in the Premier League, both players netting 23 goals each last season for Tottenham.

The Irishman has enjoyed a successful last season at Spurs, winning his first major competition, the Carling Cup, with the club and also scoring his 100th Premier League goal and his 100th goal for Tottenham.

However, with Berbatov expected to leave the club this summer in search of Champions League football, it is unlikely the club will also want to let the talismanic Keane leave as well, hence the offer of Peter Crouch as part of the deal.

Crouch has been widely linked with a move away from Liverpool after failing to cement a regular place in the starting line up at Anfield. The striker managed only nine league starts for Liverpool last season although he did end the season with five Premier League goals to his name.

Whilst Crouch is rumoured to want to leave the club in search of regular football and to improve his international prospects, manager Rafael Benitez is clearly reluctant to let him go and has reportedly already rejected approaches by Portsmouth for the striker.
