English players are going to cost a bomb. Downing is gd but he just signed a new contract wif Boro, Lennon is the same as Peanant except that he got more pace, seldom cuts infield only knws how to run down e flank and cross in only.

Latest confirmed does not involve Liverpool. Flamini has joined AC Milan from Arsenal - looks like Wenger will be busy this summer!

Benitez said that besides Torres, three others scored more than 10 goals this season. I know Gerrard definitely scored more than 10 (in the Premier league alone) - who are the other two?

The Reds should buy players who can score or are consistently deadly finishers, no matter whether they are called strikers or midfielders or wingers. The Reds easily lost 10 points or more by drawing games they should easily have won, because of poor finishing!

Anyone can think of great finishers besides those in the top 4? Can include European club players too, of course.

Crouch, Benayoun, Babel and Kuyt all got more then 10 goals this season.

Babel will probably consolidate his left wing position next season judging by his good 1st season showing. Pennant and maybe even Benayoun may be playing in another club!

Personally, I feel Barry is definitely not an answer to our scoring problem and I would hate to see Benayoun go. He is possibly our only creative midfielder - remember how he created the chance for Torres to score against Chelsea in the semi-final? His only problem is that he is rather light-weight and, to a lesser extent compared to Garcia, he tends to lose the ball easily.

Pennant has good ball control and can beat players more consistently than Kyut. If, like Delardino pointed out, he does not cut into the box enough (like Babel), that is the job of the coaches.

A manager should only consider selling if a player cannot follow instructions and/or cannot improve anymore.

Players with great ball skills (like Babel, Benayoun and Pennant) are hard to come by and players with both skills and lethal finishing are gems lah!

Hallo ... I never said Pennant has lethal finishing lah. He only scored two goals throughout the entire campaign!
