If he is given both the budget and the blessing to buy more world class players, it should make a difference. Torres and Mascherano are good examples of that. However, I think the right attitude and tactics must be applied too.

Have you noticed how each time Liverpool scored first, some players seem to start pulling back? : Seems to me that they became reluctant to press forward, keep passing backwards, unwilling to tackle and afraid to be tackled. Then, before you know it, the opponents got the upper hand and put the Reds under pressure .. then suddenly (but not unexpectedly) they equalize .. and sometimes they go on to win!

My observation is that either :
1) players like Riise are losing their enthusiasm/commitment, or
2) the tactics are wrong : let opposing team press for the equalizer, and then do counter attacks; passing back to central defenders or goalie to start another move; players must follow instructions even though they have the flair/skills to do something different ..

Chelsea just whacked Derby 6-1. Earlier this season, Liverpool were winning by big margins too. More world class players? Sure I'd welcome that, but more importantly, they must find out what are the problems and address them decisively!

He is learning but too slowly, and at this rate, he may not win the EPL even next season. He has to change his mindset about rotation, about tactics, about players .. I'm hoping that Liverpool can keep on winning and finish above Chelsea, but the gap with the top 2 is too big liao!
not really the case... u see if liverpool win the 3 impt match with man utd, arsenal n everton, wouldnt they slow down and there is a chance to take over? i mean chances... with arsenal current form i predict tat end of season they wouldnt get 1st... arsenal form are droping after their impt striker is down with injured...

To be? or not to be? this a the question! DUH!!!

Wah, you're very optimistic. I hope so too but it will take a minor miracle!

Even if Liverpool win all the remaining games, we can finish with only 83 pts.

Even if Arsenal loses to Liverpool and drew with Chelsea and Man U, they can finish with 86 pts should they win all the other games. Even if Man U loses to Liverpool and drew with Arsenal and Chelsea, they can finish with 87 pts should they win all the other games. Chelsea is the only one Liverpool may overtake if they drew with Man U and Arsenal and drop some points against Spurs (away), Man City (away) and Everon (away).

So, I agree with you about Arsenal being rather shaky going into the final lap. On the other hand, however both Man U and Chelsea seem to be going strong now.

Well, let's hope ya ..

Ya, and it will put the pressure on even the top two if Liverpool keeps winning.

Come on you Reds!

Pool is just 3 goals from scoring their 100th goal of the season, hopefully they can achieve that today, another El Nino hat trick? =X

Another hattrick will be truly amazing!

I think he will probably score and Liverpool will avenge the earlier defeat at Reading.

Sad about Agger though ..

If u ask me now, i'll take victories over Man Utd, Everton and the 2nd leg of e CL, a draw in the 1st leg and a loss in the league to Arsenal.

Dunno wad's wrong wif e Gunners at e moment but really i don't want to see Utd winnin the league this season.

At the rate Torres is scoring, hw many goals u guys think he can hit at e end of season overall?

Looks more and more likely that Man U will win the PL again - Arsenal is really losing steam and may even be caught by Chelsea. On this form, I think Liverpool has a very good chance of defeating Arsenal in the CL.

Torres will probably score 30+ goals this season and will push Ronaldo all the way in the PL. Let's hope he starts by scoring against Man U this coming Sunday and our defence blank out Ronaldo and co. !!
