If you are referring to John Terry, then I beg to differ. He's not that good, seriously .. and I say that not because he plays for Chelski! The standard of most of the English players are usually hyped up by their media. We all know that technically they are generally way below the Italians, French, Brazilians, Argentinians etc..

Liverpool's scoring problem is because our strikers are not consistently sharp. Does that tell us that something is wrong with our players' technical training? I don't know, but I feel that Benitez places alot of emphasis on tactics.

Some managers are essentially coaches who stress alot on technical abilities. English coaches/managers tend to emphasize too much on physical condition - so a typical English player runs like mad, chases every ball, jumps very hard (not high ok) and tackles as if he's going to break his opponent's leg! Looking at Benitez's gestures during games, he seems more concerned with players' positioning - often signalling to his players to close in here, follow on there. Result : players get into good positions but cannot seem to finish!!

Hallo .. that's just my two cents ok ..

Even if they weren't thinking of Inter, because the full first team was playing, they were so bad! I bet even some of the reserves players or youth players might have more heart to win that game. It was so messy, everyone look so lost.

Disgrace performance, what's wrong wif the players' mentality? People alwys say they are better in cup competitions, after the matchers against Luton, Havant and Barnsley i seriously don't think so. I got this feeling that they just doesn't give enough respect for their opponents that's why they always struggle against the smaller sides.

Come on the real Liverpool side got to turn out against Inter, if not Ibrahimovic will make Carra and Co. look like clowns chasing after the ball.

Some supporters are now saying that Rafa missed an assistant after Paco left .. that he cannot do it alone, etc.. but why did Paco leave? What has Rafa done since he left? Did he realize that he really needed an able assistant or did he think he could do it his way?

If Rafa wants to keep his job, I'd say he better start playing down on his tactics and start serious remedial work on his players' techniques .. and keep to his best eleven. Well, he doesn't have much choice now about playing his best eleven : the cups are gone, the league is gone - if he still thinks he can toy around with rotating and tactics, and end up getting dumped out of the CL and finishing outside the top 4 - then really, he should not expect anything other than the sack!!!

If that happens, Rafa will definitely get the sack. He is giving his employer more "bullets" to shoot him down with the performance of the Pool's team.

It is unimaginable for a team to lose to a lower divsion teams especially when they are playing at home and is considered one of the top teams in Europe and EPL.

Pool had many chances to win. They had numerous chances it was a day when nothing went right for Pool. They did everything but scored the important goals. They threw everything at Barnsley's goal but whatever they threw, either Barnsley's keeper was in their way or th egoal posts saved them. And right at the death, they were drew a sucker punch by Barnsley.

That was the worst part! Losing at home..but I shouldn't be surprised since Liverpool has been so bad playing at home this season..Birmingham and Wigan comes to mind. Not forgetting against struggling Spurs at the beginning of the season.

I feel we play better away from home this season, funny hor last season we were awful away, i really think we should use white as away kits because the previous year until we change to yellow our results also not bad. Somemore white looks more class and pure.

Ok so Inter travelling to Anfield tonight, no doubt it'll be a great European atmosphere as usual. It will be nice to win 1-0 but if it ends 0-0 i'll take it, just don't give Inter an away goal unless we can put 3 past them if not the second leg is going to be damn tough.

Lol same tots, i don't think goalkeeper need to be rest as they doesn't run as much as the outfield players, but i think when Pool sign Itandje there is an agreement to play him in the Carling and FA Cup. Nowadays very hard to find a No. 2 who doesn't mind being backup but for now we won't see Itandje featuring for e rest of season le =X

game will be play 2 weeks later cause the Milan vs Arsenal match will take place at San Siro next week. reds defence has been usually quite solid, get an away goal and most probably can close shop le =X

Nice to see Kuyt on e scoresheet again as well.

Most people feel that Masch, Finnan, Pennant and Kyut did well last night.

Actually, Liverpool does have many very good players - solid defence, skillful midfield and promising strikeforce. Let's hope the players realize that they have been letting themselves down in the domestic arena, sharpen their technical skills and roll up their sleeves for the rest of the season.

IF they keep playing well and scoring from now, all of us here may still have much to shout about in the middle of May!!
