Reina
Finnan
Carragher
Hyypia
Riise
Pennant
Gerrard
Mascherano
Xabi Alonso
Kewell
Kuyt/Crouch
I didn't include Skrtel because i dont think Benitez will put a new player staight in against a strong opponent away from home, Riise dropped for 2 games should be back, since there isn't any LBs available.
Had anyone seen Kuyt up front on his own before? He wasn't involved with Holland, fully fit, seeing Benitez rotation policy, very high possiblility of him in the starting line up.
I dunno why but it'll be hard to break down Chelski defence so if we got any set pieces, we must make full use of them. Tactically i am not scare of the Blues since Mourinho is gone, but end of the day it is the players performance that will decide the results, not sure which side will turn out but hopefully all Kopites will wake up wif a smile come Monday morning. Masche shld be able to make it, in order to have Gerrard bursting forward, we cant ply Lucas, Masche die die also must play. Somehow i got this feeling that if there is any team that is going to bring the Bridge 4 yrs unbeaten record to an end, it just got to be Liverpool =X To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

With less expectation and less pressure, a more relaxed team of players may just spring a surprise.
Anyway, I expect Reina, Carra, Hyppia, Finnan, Riise (what to do?), Gerrard, Pennant, Lucas, Mascherano or Benayoun, Kyut and Crouch to start - that may not be the strongest team but it is not a bad one. The only player I wish can be replaced is Riise.
Come on you Reds! |

Total SGC$: 390.75 | Re: Liverpool FC - The Reds 0-0 is not bad considering Liverpool's current form. Surprised to see Skrtel playing in such a game, but he did well. Babel did well from the start this time but I was also surprised to see him replaced. Imagine if Pennant came on for Kyut and Gerrard moved just behind Crouch .. what to do ..
Bottomline is that Liverpool has a real fight now, not with the top 3 but with the likes of Everton, Villa and Man City ... sigh! .. just to secure a top 4 place! |

They are more a cup team than a league team. เพื่อนสนิท - Peuan Sanit - ดูมัส - Doo Mat |

PC really should have scored ytd. Babel was a threat thru out the game, even SWP was alwys in his half chasing the dutchman, Pennant didn't do much when he came on except for a header that goes wide. Was more of a typical cup game rather then a league game, draw was a fair result for both sides.
Anybody agree that after ytd display Mascherano is perhaps the best DMC in the league? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

ZZZ...sianz... he can injured anythime but y when there is a big game...!!! anyway if liverpool can play like when they vs chelsea,it is possible to get to 4th again!

Total SGC$: 390.75 | Re: Liverpool FC - The Reds I predict a Liverpool victory over Barnsley this Saturday. 1.5 months or so ago I would have said at least 5-0. Now, a 2-0 win will be enough for me .. and alot depends on who is selected to play.
In a top team, 9 or 10 players are assured of their places in the team but not for Liverpool. I cannot help but feel that this 'rotation' fiasco is largely responsible for Liverpool's title challenge disappearing for yet another season. I feel that Benitez bought too many players. Except for those who came on a free transfer, the players are not cheap. Obviously a few of them could not perform so Benitez bought again and used the underperforming players as back-up. But to justify the price of these players, he resorted to his infamous rotation policy. One good example is Dirk Kyut. Torres is definitely a better buy, but Kyut cost 10 million. So, rotate lah.
The irony is that the underperforming players are the ones who later complain about the rotation policy. They all said they understood it and accepted it previously. But when they begin to play badly, they complain that they are not playing enough. Sissoko did and is gone now. Crouch did but has learnt to shut up and get on with the job. Now Kyut is complaining.
It's high time Benitez forgets about his stupid policy - and just play his best eleven every time, provided he knows who they are! I have my opinion who they are. Here goes :
Reina, Carra, Skrtel, Agger, Aurelio - defence (assuming they are all injury-free)
Gerrard, Mascherano, Lucas, Benayoun, Pennant - midfield & wingers
Torres - attack (Gerrard and Benayoun can take turns to play behind him)
subs : Hyppia, Arbeloa, Babel, Crouch, Itandje/Martin
Please .. feel free. |
