I think Hicks is having 'jelly legs' now. Gillet seems calmer looking at all these transfer prices. Don't know what kind of financial position they are in, but certainly they are no where near the capacity that the Russian 'czar' has.

In my opinion, 17mil is too much to ask. Most players are way overpriced anyway. Gradually, it is becoming clear that expensive players may be generating media interests but no necessarily league points or championships!

Maybe Hicks & Gillet are hoping/waiting for prices to come down (like share market trading) before giving their approval for Rafa to buy. To some extent I agree with these two jokers - whatever happened to that very, very important business term = RETURNS!!!?

Admittedly Liverpool has a very tough task but to say that they are DEFINITELY out of the race ... wah, Cloudzero .. the ball is round you know. Afterall, Man U has not been completely consistent, Arsenal's youngsters are just going into the testing period and Chelsea is almost wrecked by injuries.

Like I said, Liverpool has a very tough task made worse by their own inconsistencies but I don't think even the other 3 managers have written them off yet.

Every team still have a chance to win the title as long as it is mathematically possible for them. AW, AF and AG would never write off any rivals until the last moment. Right now, Arsenal and Man Utd have advanstages over the rest. It is not over until the fat lady sings.

Well, Liverpool has on one to blame but themselves for being inconsistent. Like I said before, Liverpool makes a good cup team but not a league team as inconsistency is not a one of their key plus atributes.

Agreed! Not many people thought that they will win when they were 3-0 down at half time to AC Milan in the final of CL 2005. They came back and forced the game into a penalty shootout and won against all odds.

Well, this time not only are they not out of the title race, they are in a pretty good position. As long as they keep winning, whether 8-0 or 1-0, they will be keeping the other three under pressure.

Of course, they have to win tonight against Wigan lah. Cannot play the way they did at Derby or else sure mati. Play the way they did when Derby visited Anfield last year, and Liverpool will still be in business man!

Come on you Reds!!

Its getting harder and harder as games goes by.

Out of the so called big 4 teams, Liverpool althought has came of the 4 games undefeated, they managed the least points 2 wins & 2 draws = 8 pts
Arsenal 3 wins & 1 draw = 10 pts
Chelsea 3 wins & 1 draw = 10 pts
Man Utd 3 wins & 1 loss = 9 pts

As expected, none of them managed to score max points during this festive seasons.

It will take a major slipup from the top two for Liverpool to have a realistic chance.
When you are winning, others are winning too.
