Nowadays Gerrard bao everything, corners, fks, pens. Lol glad to see him shoot at the gk right side, everytime see him place e left side so worry 1 day opposition keepers will notice his pattern, at least now we know he not like a certain lamp alwys shoot same direction only =X

Nice to see Hobbs getting some time on e pitch too, quite compose on e ball.

You get the feeling that England's exit from Euro 08 seems to trigger something positive in Gerrard - like he doesn't want to fail again! Which is fine by me.

Hopefully Liverpool's huge squad and Rafa's rotation policy will pay dividends, starting from this hectic month!

haha we can see the other big teams rotate also, last week Fergie tried to rest Vidic and CR7 for the meaningless CL match which they had already qualify end up go back wif 0 point from Reebok Stadium. =X

A simple analysis shows that only Liverpool and Man Utd have a big and formidable squad now. Chelsea's strength in depth is arguable whereas Arsenal's is high debatable.

So, when the dust settles after January, we may see the real potential champions more clearly!

A simple way to analyse is to see if the team has two good players for each position - the more such back-ups are available, the stronger the squad is deemed to be. Giving 2 points for a solid back-up, 1 for a reasonable one and 0 for a doubtful case :

for Liverpool : Reina/? = 0; Finnan/Arbeloa = 2; Carra/Hobbs = 1; Hyppia/Agger = 2; Riise/Aurelio = 2; Gerrard/Alonso = 2; Mascherano/Lucas = 2; Kewell/Babel = 2; Benayoun/Pennant = 2; Torres/Kyut = 1; Crouch/Voronin = 2
total points : 18 out of 24

Aiyoh, sorry lah my friend. Sissoko was playing well during a period of time, especially after coming back from his eye injury. However, this season his form is rather poor lah - passing going astray, losing his balance and falling easily, losing the ball rather cheaply to opposing players ... sigh! I like him too, but I'm afraid he has fallen down the pecking order in midfield liao!

Haha, i think his dip in form is because Alonso not besides him, starting when he arrives Gerrard was playing on the right, he and Xabi were in e centre, his play was better cuz got someone to support and guide him, now Masche take over his role of winning e ball and Gerrard joins in e attack, he totally look lost in the middle of e park. =X

Michel Platini has confirmed that Liverpool's 8-0 thrashing of Besiktas in the Champions League is not part of UEFA's investigation into match fixing allegations.
