Liverpool don't deserve it

I admit I am a sore loser, however the way everton lost to liverpool tonight it is disgraceful to the referring of english premium league. Everton even with 2 man down should have won the game.

I don't know about you, gerard influencing the ref's decision, I think that is a low blow even for liverpool standards.

Way to go you reds, I hope you can sleep well at night, cheats.

Lets be fair! I had also lost in the bet but life still goes on.

I would said that although Pool might not have deserve to win but they did. Both penalities awarded to them were fair as Gerrard was clearly brought down on his way to goal for the 1st penalty, the red card was a bit harsh as most of us thought it would be a yellow instead of a red card. As for the 2nd penalty, Phil Neville dived and handed the ball when the ball was goal bound. It was a deserved 2rd penalty and he was rightfully send off.

Of cos there was 2 other penalties claims by Everton when their players were wrestled down at the other end and the ref did not gave any of them.

Some time Lady Luck smile on the team sometimes she does not smile at all. These kind of injustice will iron itself out during the course of the season just like Liverpool should have won when they played against Chelsea but ended in a draw.

Aiya it's fair 1 la, starting of season we gave so many soft pens away, nobody were complain anything or what.

True Liverpool didn't play well but how could a team with only 1 shot on goal for e entire game deserve anything from the game.

I think he was referring to the following:

1) The sending off as Gerrard approached the ref and spoke to him and the ref immediately put back the yellow card in his hand and change it to a red card.

2) The not sending off of Kurt for a 2 foot challenge in the game.

3) The 2 penalties claims by Everton especially the one in injury time.

Even the commentators commented that if they didn't know better, they would have thought the match was "Fixed":surprised: :disgust2:

But then again, these sort of injustice would iron itself out during the course of the season. You win some, you lose some! :biggrin4:

kK, i think i'll be e 1st pool fan to admit that Stevie G is/was a diver, everytime i see him dash into the box i knew he will go down even if it was just a slight contact, he knows how to make it look so real at least in the ref eyes, and the good thing between him and CR7 is his record for diving is clean, 0 yellow card for diving compare to Ronaldo 7 yellows. BUT Hibbert was the last man wasn't he? I dunno if they changed the rules recently if not according to last time the last man who fouled a player who is heading towards goal, it's a straight red.

The Kuyt issue was pretty obvious mah, a yellow was fair for the intention of that tackle, impossible to give a red for not even touching the player legs.

Here is what Carra said for the penalty appeal. "it wasn't a penalty, just a man's game"

Gerrard goes down at the slightlest touch from the opposition but CR does it more theatrically as if he was "shot" or he had ran into a "Brickwall"! Hence the difference in the number of cards for the 2 players. :biggrin4:

Although Hibbert was indeed the last player, Ref seems to want to flash a yellow card instead of a Red card until Gerrard went to him to "remind" him that Hibbert was the last player. Hence the change of decision by the Ref. It is not professional of a player to try to get another player send off. :disgust2:

Although Kuyt did not touch the opposition player, the intend to maul or hurt the other player is there. For me, that should be a Red card.

As for the Everton's claims for the 2 penalities that neither was given, I would said that at least one of them warrants a penalty especially in the one in th injury time. I had seen Refs given penalty for lesser fouls.

These are just some of the controversials arrising from the game.

everton was supposed to win or draw that match, in betting point of view. There were strong tipped off that we were to take 1/2 ball against liverpool. some of my friends actually lost alot in this match alone.

i believe that luck, referee's poor judgements, players tendencies to fall easily inside penalty area and other so called injustices are just part and parcel of the game.

who can control luck? no one really has over of luck.
players can have poor games, why referee cant? he's human afterall.
fall in penalty area easily? thats so common in soccer games. who doesnt want to earn an opportunity to score from the spot which has high chance of getting into the net?

we are not living in utopia society, cant expect everything to be perfect.

a win is a win, regardless of whether it's ugly, fanciful, or nice passing game. on the league table it's only reflected as a 3 points gain.
