that's the web that i read b4 getting my robos =) did not know tat u r a regular at there. haha.. my hammies are quite big right now and all they do is sleep sleep and sleep.. but in the morning ard 5am. wow i can even hear the wheel keep going round and round. very noisy. haha.

my ah ma used to make the wheel drop onto the bedding and stop ham to play.
once the wheel dropped nd covered the ham .

and i scolded my ah ma lols.

my cage last time used to hav lots of things.. but now i hav taken out quite a lot .. only left the toilet and a house and a wheel only. but they always sleep anyway... haha.. btw. how long is hammies life span?

answer is yes..in instances where they feel threatened / scared / lost, they will bite as an act of self defence..other than that, once they have gotten use to your smell, they won't bite..they'll sometimes give u a friendly nibble..however, memory lapses do occur in hamsters..
Syrians have good memories and they remember what is being taught to them and their owner's characteristics..however, dwarf hamsters (most small breeds) have a short memory span which enables them to 'forget' what is being taught, even their owner's smell..they tend to bite more frequently as per compared to syrians..

speaking of syrian, i got bitten once while pouring food into her bowl ,
[maybe too hungry]
cos it was quite dark, i cant see properly.
and i "scolded" my ham .
somehow i can sense guilt in her lols.
but . shes also timid la :disgust2:
