That was the question puzzling a STOMPer, who spotted this note put up on sale at a store in Raffles City.

Said Mr Teo, in his MMS to STOMP on Jan 13:

" Fake One Million US Dollar bill on sale for $3.00 at Inbox Raffles City.

"Is this even legal?"

Mr Teo told STOMP this was spotted in one of the rental cubicles within the store, and says he is not sure that the owner is even aware that this is going on.

STOMP has contacted the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Police for a comment. Please watch this space for updates.

I can guarantee you that it is totally illegal to own it and even display in public (I meant in USA, not sure in Singapore).

Anyone can report you to the FBI for rewards because a lot of Nigerian fraud related with big million bank notes (Fraud claims that this is a bank note used between banks)

This $1 million bill is quite common in the USA. Can buy from the gift shops in Las Vegas for a couple of US $. It is meant to poke fun lah.
The largest US dollar denomination is US$100. So, any denomination larger than that is likely to be bogus. It is perfectly alright to own it in the USA, a country whereby their own citizens even poke fun at their own President.
