hey sgclubbers !

has any1 been to or waiting for lasalle interview?

how was it? tough? were the questions tedious? other than " what does creative means to you " & who was your favourite designer, art style, artist etc.." & "why do you think was your best piece & how you developed it " were there other qns??

as for those who had their reply ( successful or not in the admission into lasalle)
was it easy to get in? were their stardards high or low? >,<

im gonna have my interview this wk & feeling nervous & zeal at the same time..

any comments ppl? (;

I went for the interview last friday!!!

Er, my lecturers quite fun hahaha.
I'm aiming for Graphic Design.

They'll just ask you to discuss, what creativity means to you. Then just give your opinions.
Before you all discuss, you have to select 1 piece of your best work and describe the concept/idea behind it. Ask why it's your best work. This one they'll see your presentation skills. Got 3 aspects they'll be looking at.

1. Portfolio.
2. Presentation.
3. Discussion.

Yeap. The lecturers won't give comments, they'll just listen to you.
Then end of it you can ask questions, and they'll tell you what's it like to be in LASALLE. It's damn cool larh.

Now I'm anxiously waiting for the results.

(' hmm, you were all discussing in sorta group right? so did you get to see other's portfolio? was it good? & do the artwks have to be really impressive? cause im afraid that my wks aren't that awesome to watch >,< & also does your portfolio have to consist of 2D, 3D wks too? cause ii don't think that i had a 3 D work sia..

btw, gd luck for the results ! ^^

Less than a week.
So I'm expecting results by Wednesday.

Erm. You don't get to see other's portfolio unless it's super impressive. I was in a group of 8 + 2 lecturers. You put your portfolio on a table behind you guys then the lecturers will view it. Don't need too impressive. You need to show that you have basics in drawings, you know how to design and so on.. Presentation and Discussion equally important. You gotta be confident. My group's 7 out of 8 of us don't have art background. And our works weren't exactly strong but got this 1 china guy. He got oil paintings and stuff, confirm in those kind lol!! Yah just bring a variety of works. The lecturers will browse through!

But yeah, wouldn't be too stressful.
The room actually is classroom. Damn huge one.
Then seperate into like 3-4 groups of 8 each haha.

i still thought this week is the last interview for all because i applied very late. because it seems that im the last person to apply for august intake that day. LOLL.

Actually the interview date is you all can choose one. The interview session will be up till June/July leh.
Er, confirm will ask the question de. Hahaha PLEASE be confident and speak more!! Don't be scared if your work not good. Just WHACK whack whack. From not good say until super good those kind

Thanks for the info, at first, i still thought the interview is they set themselves, and i applied on the last day, which made me think that this week is the last interview. heh.

so the lecturers will not comment on each piece of work you've done? like why you did this, the colors chosen, etc?

Eh, nopes. They won't comment lah haha. They sometimes will 'LOU CHU MA JIAO' though. But yeah, they mostly won't comment cus our work not up to their standard laaaaaaa. Lol!!!

They won't comment on how bad it is, will sometimes comment on how good it is only

Ahh!! My results not out yet leh, no email no letter no nothing. Damn anxious lah!
