My company laptop is a lenovo...so far so good...I was using an ibm thinkpad earlier..both actually not much difference except now lenovo got START button.

By sometime their design are slightly different even thought hp bought over compaq. I still prefer dell or tosihba. Hp not bad also.. Acer really suckz. Always saw acer laptop coming to my friend repair shop Raymond Lim

Hell yeah, those ASUS lappies really look good, don't they. They're well specced too. Did you see the recent ladies collection? ASUS leather topped ones?
This link shows the pink leather top edition. There are other colors as well though. http://usa.asus.com/event/s6pink/index.html
Good spec too. The link is to the USA site but they're available locally. I checked out the yellow\brown and pink leather top ones at Sim Lim Sq, some time back.

they did showcase their leather series during the last computer show at expo. looks classy..... well so is the price... pricey

Yep, they're expensive. I don't expect any lesser though. These are lifestyle products. Aside from doing what they do best, they also make you look good.
That's exactly why the Apple iPod costs so much. Considering the fact that it only costs about 100 USD to produce one unit and is being sold for more than double it's manufacturing cost.
200% profit. Reason why? They'll tell you, it's lifestyle. | |
