Actually eh , i think specs are as impt as the brand . so u should buy a laptop just becux of the brand . thought its impt , the specs will affect the performance of the notebook .

sony,hp or compaq.nec isn't that bad too.Toshiba laptops ain't that good,ask ngee ann students for best feedbacks!haha.You'll never wanna get a toshiba laptop after that.lol

never get dell or acer...

will introduce non-gamers to NEC... sleek design n not exactly pricey for the features...

asus is not so good. i prefer hp. hp bought over compaq. so makes no difference. =)

i like the new model of nec laptop the ouside surface of the laptop,if u use a coin to scratch it it will nt hav any scars or marks on it and it has built in mcafree and webcam and the price is reasonable

I was a ngee ann student.

I die also don't want to get toshiba laptop already. :shifty3:

I'm using Dell XPS M1210. Just don't bother getting the built-in webcam... not very good, haha. It's heavy for what people consider an "ultra-portable" laptop, but it's okay lah, around 2kg.

I've been using this for about half a year, and it rocks, in contrary to Dell's bad rep (I place priority on specs actually).

I want an ASUS next!!! <333
