Errm. It's not call lantern festival. Think you guys got it wrong. Only kids who don't know the actual term to use and always play with the lantern will call it lantern festival. It's called mid autum festival.

well, its just a term, lol
i remember when i was a kid, i neither call it mid-autumn or lantern
i call it moon-cake festival, lol - 月饼节

anyway, yea i still do play
but with my nieces and nephews
cos i can get really creative once in a blue moon
i will start making lanterns together my nieces and nephews

they all will start runing around with it
and so far, none of it will last the night, all getting burned >.<

Mmm... miss those days when I was a young kid, would run around with my other siblings and neighbours at the playground (those filled with sand type...) downstairs.

Each of us will carry our own lantern (normally is those paper cheapo type) and then lit our candle and walk around with it... Then we'll also lit the candles around the playground or on the sand and watch the playgroud lit up in nicely candlelight...

Nowadays, dun think got so much 'FEEL' and atmosphere already...
1) No more those olden Playground with sand, cement slides, wooden swings & see-saw anymore...
2) Lanterns are mostly those battery-operated types which produces irritating music also...
3) Children just carry the lanterns as if they were just another toy... Not much fun with battery-operated lanterns
