Description
Lantern Fantasy 2008 featuring “F8 – Kitty Go Races!” will showcase the ever-lovable Hello Kitty and friends participating in various sporting races. The myriad of races include car racing, sailboat racing, tricycle racing and much, much more! Popular Sanrio characters such as Dear Daniel, Bad Badtz-Maru, Pom Pom Purin, Cinnamoroll, Tabo, My Melody and Keroppi will also grandly decorate the groups of lanterns for the festival. There will also be a dedicated Chinese cultural segment that will showcase the legendary beauty of Chang Er and the Garden of fairies, as well as entertainment lands for children. Special cultural performing troops will also grace the event. The overall event incorporates activities for the families, the young and the mature alike. It also aims to project Singapore as a multi-cultural society which takes into consideration the active participations of different races in a Chinese cultural event.
