Do you know of any colleagues doing side-line work?

At my last job, I know of a colleague who collects bets for horse-racing, football matches, 4Ds and totos. He did it so discreetly the management till to date still have no idea about his side-line business. I recently met up with another colleague who told me X is still doing it. The funny thing is he does his illegal activity via sms and uses his workplace to do monetary collection and payouts. Nobody would have guessed what he is doing because his job involves transactions at the sales counter and his gambling customers do not discuss their winnings or losses at the counter too.

Do you have any colleagues who is involved in money-making activities (including part-time jobs) that your boss is not aware of? Will you report if you know? :handsup:

erm dun have any in my office.. dun tink i will tell the boss even if i know.. cos maybe 'the colleague' is facing some financial problems tat he did not reveal to us.. so better dun be a kaypoh.. diam diam lor.. sekali he kenna pok by the boss... no more job.. more jialat..

I also working on sideline on freelance interior design and main line is teaching interior design, my boss know my side line, he didn't say anything.

Being in the IT industry, I do freelance once in a while...but I make sure my boss & colleagues do not noe...

The 2 sides of the coin should never meet.

I think it's his personal life to do whatever side lines he wants to do but bringing it to work is just too risky.

Most importantly, it should not be conflicting interests. Best if different industries where you moonlight.

this is Irene..you can call me auntyirene.
Side-line ? why not? because you never know when retrenchement will hit you. my husband got it. from engineer become taxi driver..so who will take care of us?

luckily i was fast enough and well (desperate enough), and i started my online business (just to buy a hope..), and it works for me..!

put it this way, these days, money speaks loudest, if you are jobless, you will find yourself into a lot of troubles. especially if you got kids and family.

anyway..as some people here said, side line is ok, just dont let it mix up with your full time job, until you are ready to Quit..!
