It doesn't matter how reputable the firm is. I think the MOM can ask the company to pay u, based on the law.

Actually, it is better not to go to Employment agencies. This is because the arrangements are made between them & the companies, not with u. So, u never know if u're going to be paid. Some things the agencies don't say, so u might be conned.

The agencies can send u to any company that u don't know. (Might as well choose a company urself that u know).

Also, it is not worth working so hard & letting these agencies & companies take a cut out of ur salary.

Better to find a job urself with a big & good company that will be sure to pay everything (OT etc.).
they charge u for filing complaint can.kns i want to get my money they still want to kope my money

"Supervisor not in so i cannot give you money"..

In the end gave him my bank account number then they will bank in. But then WHYY didn't they do that in the FIRST place?! Make me go down all the way to clarke quay for nothing other than to listen to his lame excuse. Cheques take about 3 working days to clear right? On the day it was supposed to come i went to the atm to check. Nothing.. Still only got my pathetic $18 inside..(Yes Im that poor).. Ok nvm next day check again.. STILL NOTHING. Call the agent again and found out that they'd miraculously 'missed ' my cheque.. wow...

In the very end i got my pay la but considering the amount of frustration and anxiety i went through to earn that miserable few hundred bucks, it definitely wasn't worth it.
i worked for pokka.u??

all late payment of salaries can be reported to MOM

you make an appointment with the MOM officers and they will deal with them.

1stly, they will send or call the company in charge for a warning.the MOM will also give a due date
2ndly, if the company dun pay up till the due date, the MOM will bring this matter up to the court.

starting , i dun trust any of the job agencies. bt till last 2 yrs, i found a reliable job agencies. they pay ur salaries on time and offer you a good temp job. i was once a temp from them and now have converted to perm in the company. now no longer under agency le..

the company is called HRfactors

you can go to www.hrfactors.com.sg for more information.

when they found a job for you to go to that company for interview. then about afternoon time, they will call you to ask if you are qualified anot.

if u are not qualified by that company they scheduled for u, they will re-find another company for u.

wad i can sae is that their service is super B.

Recruit Strategy at Shaw House also sux!

I got a temp job through them once .. promoting card for a local bank .. the agent in charge of me was so bimbotic and bitchy .. she was always in low cut top and super mini skirt .. Not that her top was heavy or wat but ya .. low cut top ..

As the promotion was already on-going for a few months when i joined, most ppl already had that so sales was slower .. Then keep nagging at me say my friend and i were not doing our work ..

she was super rude some more .. wake me up early in the morning, screamed at me saying she wanted to see results for that day to improve and slam the phone on me!

I was wide awake by then ..

at the end of the day sales quota wasnt met so i told her since i cant hit sales quota then ok i quit .. later she called me back and apologised to me for being rude tat morning and persuaded me to stay ..

after my friend's and my contract was over she called my friend and asked her if she would like to extend her contract .. and asked my friend to ask me instead of calling me and asked me personally if i would like to continue my contract ..

so bitchy .. the worst agent i ever met ..

go to ministry of manpower...cos they already violated the law...

according to singapore law chapter 15 section 6:

Quote:

SECTION 6 RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PRINCIPAL AND AGENT

15.6.1 As the agent is an intermediary, generally, once the principal and third party are brought into a contractual relationship, the agent drops out of the picture, subject to any issues of remuneration or indemnification that he may have against the principal, and more exceptionally, against the third party. Generally, agents are entitled to be indemnified for all liabilities reasonably incurred in the execution of the agents’ authority.

15.6.2 Aside from any specific contractual obligations that may govern the relationship between the principal and the agent, an agent is considered a fiduciary vis-à-vis the principal. As such, the agent should not, without obtaining the informed consent of the principal, place himself in a position where his duty to his principal may conflict with his own interests. If the agent receives a secret bribe, the agent must account for this to the principal – see Mahesan v Malaysian Government Officers Co-operative Housing Society Ltd [1975] 1 MLJ 77.

15.6.3 Obviously, if the agent exceeds the authority conferred on him and this causes the principal loss, the principal may claim against the agent.

i disagree with u,
i went down to their agency at international plaza before and the agent is very rude, she insist on asking me to accept a bank job from a european mnc with salary below 2k.. i already listed that i expect 2k and above in the application form and with my 2 years experience,i think i deserved at least 2k for my pay.
after that, they didn't call me at all..

Though sceptical, i applied online and was told to go for an interview at their office at clark quay. I saw an office that looked legitimate enough and took the job there. When my friends and i went to collect our pay, only one had her bank account number, so the admin there said that we could bank our money into her account first. Surprise surprise, the cheque bounced. My pay never came and i've been waiting for 3months now. Busy with school work, i could only call n call their office during my recesses and ask about my pay. Answers were always "Ask my colleage, i'll give you his number, but i'm not free now", "Call the bank"" or simply "I'm not free to talk". we called the bank but the bank said no bounced cheque was found in my friend's account. Subsequent calls to the bank was fertile as nobody seem to try helping us. I found this very irresposible. To get youngsters like us that have no knowledge about the payment systems to work for them, then to drag paying us our hard earned money. We worked just like them, why are we deprived of our pay? Just because we are younger, does this mean that we do not deserve an equal standing in the workforce? Labour is labour, we served, so we should get paid. To the bank, we do not study the bank systems in school. we do not understand how things are supposed to operate so please guide us along and not talk to us in a very irritated voice suggesting unwillingness to render help. Seeing how we were treated in this episode, i wonder why there is age discrimination in Singapore? Shouldnt credit be given based on capability? I appeal to employers, employ and credit regardless of age. That would make working in Singapore much more pleasant. i wrote e above to e forum at straits time.now im going to speak in a less polite way.
damn e job agency. drag my money damn long la. u get pay i also should get pay what. i never work meh.kns.3months liao can.i should already have gotten e money.this sucks la.i dun have time to chiong down to their office n demand my pay.stupid office hours from 9-5pm ma.i got skl till 505.by e time i reach there already too late liao.anyway i hate their bloody attitude la.talk to me like despising me lidat.esp e bank.treat me like idiot.its posb by e way.damn ass.i hate it when adults act like they are superior than us. Im 17!! hello.almost an adult too.just u wait.in a few years im going to study n study till i got doctorate.come back n trash u.show u black face everyday.try how it feels like, morons! f**k
Also got the bad experience with RE, KS and TCC
