Default Jc Life

Yes, there's a thread on Secondary School Life. I think I should start one too, On Jc Life. Well, I'm pretty interested in getting into JC next year. However I fear that I might not be able to cope with the tough competition and the intensity of the studyload.

[ Ah, I was from the last class when in Secondary School, But for the last few months, I woke up to sense, and started studying hard, real hard. Made a tremendous improvement from a 40+ points L1R5 to a decent points during Prelim which enables me to enrol to a JC for first three month, but well, I decided not to, Cos I was in dilemma. Now I'm abit regretful. ]

So how's Jc Life? For those who had being through, Please share your thoughts with me can? thankyou.:biggrin4:

JC life is just like secondary but much tougher. Cause if u miss lesson, die. have to spend a lot of time to catch up. and if u are slacker type, sure fail A level. cause some times too much stuffs to study, u just gamble and study on those which u think will come out..

Yes, in JC you have to be much more conscientious with your work. Last-minute study will hardly get you anywhere.

Put it this way, when you go to a JC, your eventual aim will be to study in a university, because an 'A' level certificate is worthless next to a diploma from a polytechnic.

In that sense, the JC curriculum is many steps up from the secondary school curriculum, because you are being prepared for university.

Then what about me missing the First Three Month? Does it matter so much?

In JC, you really have to keep up and revise constantly. Last minute is a huge no-no. The people there are really fun, and there's alot of activities. Study hard and play hard.

missing first 3 mths is no biggie, just chiong when you enter a jc after that. (:

1. study way in advance for major examinations...
2. be less involved in cca stuff...
3. self-discipline comes into the picture....

first 3 mths is totally different from what's there to expect once u r enrolled into a jc... as a matter of fact, not enrolling the "first 3 mths" scheme, you missed almost nothing... except the sense of familiarity with the school... just that with it, you can get used to the jc faster...

Ah, JC life was so-so for me, maybe because I was in a "top-five JC".
