THE schoolgirl and her brother had been waiting for their schoolbus, as they did every morning.
And the bus stop was just five minutes from their Kulai, Johor home.
But on Wednesday morning, the usual routine ended with the girl being taken away and molested - by a man who claimed to be a policeman, reported Guang Ming Daily.
The attack has reportedly left the girl so traumatised, she has not been able to talk about it properly.
On Wednesday morning, while the two siblings were at the bus stop, a man in a silver-coloured car stopped in front of them.
He asked them the way to Johor Jaya, then he asked about another residential area.
He then claimed to be a policeman and asked to check the siblings' identity cards.
When the girl and her brother replied that they didn't have their identity cards on them, the man reportedly turned aggressive and threatened to take them to the police station.
Frightened, the boy agreed to run home to get the cards, while his sister got into the car with the man.
GIRL TAKEN
When the boy went back to the bus stop with his mother, the man and his sister were nowhere in sight.
The man allegedly drove the schoolgirl to Senai Technology Park, about 5km away, where he is believed to have molested her.
She was later found by two girls, who took her to the police station.
According to the girl's school principal, the girl is so traumatised by the attack she could not speak for some time and was not able to fully describe the incident.
The technology park is the same secluded area where an 8-year-old girl's body was found last year, reported China Press.
The skeletal remains of Lo Ching Poon were found in a monsoon drain about twoweeks after she disappeared from her JB home.
PREVIOUS CASES
There has been a spate of violent crimes reported in Johor in the past few months.
In separate cases this month, twowomen were allegedly taken away and gang-raped by groups of men in the Pasir Gudang area.
In both cases, the men were reportedly armed and had slashed the women's boyfriends.
In late April, a 28-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly raped by two men who abducted her and her 3-year-old son at a deserted petrol station in Tampoi near Johor Baru.
These recent cases have led members of the public to start a petition calling for better security.
It has also prompted a response from the Malaysian government.
