I thought update from Internet will update to 3.3? Anyone has a US version disc that I can upgrade to 3.2U for my wii set?

What if a game requires 3.3 to work? From what I understand this region changer only supports up to 3.2

i am on 3.3U on my jap wii, it's viable. it works perfectly.

Those are firmwares that i already installed on my Wii, for testing purpose.

Game that need 3.3 at this moments are Super Mario Sluggers and WarioLand Shake It

hi,

1st off, the guide is brillant! i followed it and it worked perfectly on my wii.

theres a few issues i would like to ask.

is it possible to revert it to the original state? (how?)

when i try to load wiifit(jpn) orginal disc, it requires an update, do i have to update it to play? my wii is modded with wiikey. when i load some older jpn games, it works. but when it comes to the newer ones like wiifit or wii ski, it doesnt. what is the problem and solution?

oh and one last qn, can i still play jpn games even if its now in ntsc?

1. original state --> use the same way u changed it but change it back to J firmware.
2. ur wii fit jpn will create 2 extra channels but shudn't semibrick ur set.
3. does ur wiikey play mario galaxy?

2. Oh, so its safe to do a ungrade and i can still remove the channels with the channel remover right?
3. i dont have mario galaxy but i got it to work for smsb and mario kart, i did an upgrade to 1.9s and all that.
4. havent tried with eng wii fit yet, dont have it on hand.

i was wondering, since i have wii key, so it shouldnt be a problem to load both jpn and ntsc games right? but why i cannot play the orginal jap wiifit?

3. you dont have the required IOS, or in another word, your firmware is not high enough,
4. Why use Jap Wii Fit, if your one are modded, then get a Eng disc, its fun to play in English.

Wiifit is one of the game that contain update, another have same firmware with Wiifit is SSBB. No different between original and ahem one if you have mod chip.

guys, i need some help.

I bought a wii which the owner said was mod with wiikey. when i insert the wiikey 1.9 update but can't detect that burned dvd. i tried the us region change image after it load. it just show some jap words den i have to off the wii.

can anyone tell me why? thanks

i think because it wasnt mod with wiikey. Many shops just anyhow say the wii mod with wiikey regardless what the real mod chip is.

Wiitracker said your wii using at least D2C or older chipset, which could not be modded with Wiikey.

Not sure how to mod until know exactly what mod chip is. You mght want to check with eriffej about the price.

if you are lucky enough, i.e. you got a D2Pro9 mod chip, then the region changing is very easy without need toopen the Wii. Otherwise, you may need to open the Wii..

look at my guide in first page. If you have D2pro9, it will auto detect the region changing and no need to do anything about region changing for mod chip.
