cso is compressed file.
for e.g
metal slug ISO:1200MB
but after compression is

My 2 cents.
Compressed iso (which is CSO) normally takes a while longer to load.
Disk space is rather cheap these days, I'd normally leave the ISO as it is or uncompress the CSO to ISO when I play the games. | |

games compressed into CSO u can expect the game quality to drop. esp in racing games... and those games with high FPS... if so then u might experience lag...
