IR training or what? Temasek Poly students playing cards in canteen 
STOMPer Melvin saw these students playing with poker cards in the canteen of Temasek Polytechnic and says it was inappropriate of them to do so in school.
He says it was not the first time he saw students playing with poker cards in the canteen and it seems like no action has been taken against them.
Although he says he did not see them using money, he says the students should not be playing with poker cards when they are in school where everyone could see them, regardless of whether money was used or not.
"What is the world becoming? Is this part of the IR that Sg gov is building that they are practising in school and preparing for the lesson?" the STOMPer wonders.

there is nothing wrong with that . moreover they are tertiary students, not secondary schoo/ pri school where they are still wearing uniform.
since they are not gambling, then why can't tt stomper just shut up -_-
don't tell me he/she nvr play card games before.

I think when I was in school, there were strict school rules about NO playing of poker cards in school compounds... dunno what's the rationale for this but it was stated black and white in school rules lah;.. maybe now the system change liao? ~hippo~ | |

TP takes a serious stand against students gambling.
This was in response to an article featuring the feedback of concerned STOMPer Melvin, who spotted this group of students playing with poker cards in the canteen at Temasek Polytechnic on several occasions.
In a statement issued by the TP spokesperson to STOMP, Temasek Polytechnic said:
"With regards to Melvin’s concern on what he thought was a group of our students gambling in one of the canteens at Temasek Polytechnic, please note that the polytechnic takes a serious stand against students gambling.
