itouch is good lo plus now u can mod it to be like a iphone except the call function |

Total SGC$: 44.00 | Re: IPOD TOUCH The iPod touch's really cool; if you don't need a phone, this is basically the iPhone without the phone, especially with the January Software Upgrades (putting previously iPhone-only apps onto the iPod touch). If you buy one now, you'll get the software.
I've tried the iPhone a few days when it was released, (and in Singapore, recently; some friends of mine already have it). Not much of a difference between the iPhone and iPod touch, except the Call and SMS function. But if you are looking for a *phone*, then perhaps you can wait, since this is a really cool convergent device.
For me, since I don't need a new phone, an iPod touch will do. At least for now... |

Total SGC$: 44.00 | Re: IPOD TOUCH If you're referring to the January software upgrade, there isn't a service available I'm aware of at the stores selling Apple products that performs such an upgrade. By right, the upgrade is performed via the iTunes Store, which is not available in Singapore.
What an annoying oversight on Apple's part. Completely excluded a few markets from upgrading the iPod.
Of course, if your iPod is already jailbroken, then it probably isn't difficult to add these software yourself. In fact, these programs were probably around before Apple announced the upgrades, likely to be taken from the iPhone directly. |
