In the end, I quarelled with her and terminated her service. Now I am looking into pure unit trusts. Even if for unit trusts, try to get it from an online portal e.g. Fundsupermart, poems, etc.

The free switch may be due to because you already paid for the wrap fee...that's why switching of funds are free...i am not very sure. You have to clarify with your advisor.
Please correct me if i am wrong. |

if you prefer excitement and high returns within short period of time, you can try speculating stocks
but if you prefer to invest for a long term, then there are a number of tools that you can invest in. Equities (stocks) also can hold for long term. |

sales charge is at 3%? | | | | | If you take DIY fund investing through portals like fundsupermart versus investing with investment agents, the difference is, the cost of DIY investing is often much lower, and you are exposed to more funds than what the insurer offers you.
Plus some of the funds offered by insurers are plain feeder funds. That means your investment into that fund is actually used to invest in ANOTHER fund. So by investing into another fund, additional fund charges are incurred indirectly. So you have to understand what you are really investing in. Most insurance agents won't tell you everything. They prefer to be Class 95. Only hear the good things.
I will recommend reading up on fund investments and do it yourself. An insurer's forte is insuring, not investing. I won't buy clothes from a shoe maker and I won't buy shoes from a clothing company.
