Hi ppl, i juz received a call from RE to go down for an interview on Monday. Well, my greatest concern is, what i should wear? I am applying for a temporary admin position. The salary is 6 to 8 sgd. How should I put it that of course I want the 8sgd?

I did some research on the internet and I read some bad comments abt RE. Saying that the interview is like only 5 min while u nid to w8 an hr, saying that they juz wan u go down sign some papers, saying that they ask redundant qns....

So how shld I prepare myself?

Jus know wat kind of job scopes u looking for. Let them know wats ur preference. The crucial interviews are 2nd & 3rd.

the last time i went... i wear casual... t-shirt + jeans...
yeah... waited for quite awhile.... but it was a rather chio girl who interviewed me... so.. worth the wait..... hehe...

I had interview with RE be4 but no one called me after that.Dont know whether was succesful or not

its more of asking u abt ur prefered working hours and conditions rather than an interview... duration around 5-7 mins oni..

No need to wear formal. Smart casual like polo-T & pants or short sleeved shirt with collar will do. You're not going for an executive position anyway, so dress for the position and occasion.

If you get the job you would need to pay SGD$50! But i am not sure if its applies to temp positions or not. Still, i think you wear office clothes would be better

I tried RE before few years ago,
one of the agent ask me what kind of job i looking for ah blah blah
in the end she made me go interview a job that i'm not really interested plus it's far and troublesome to get there.
I told her i don't want but she insist me to go and try out first.
In the end i went for the interview but didn't take up the job.. lol

Second time i try, they called up to ask if i interested in one job they offering,
but it's not the kind i'm looking for, after rejected that
no more offers liao =(

Okay the interview @ Recruit Express is nothing one, just ask u to fill in your particulars only, then they just ask roughly what kind of job you want, preferred location, pay. U can just straightaway tell the agent (recruitment consultant) what pay u want lor. But if you say, oh i want $8 per hour for admin job, it is quite hard for them to find. so may end up no jobs for you. Just to let u know, admin jobs the rate is about 6.50 ~7 per hour.
Dont really need to dress up.

When they actually match you to a suitable job that u indicated, then they send u to the interview at the company. That one need to wear more properly, At least Polo + Jeans + shoes, dont go in Tshirt and shorts. of course if u want to wear a shirt, or suit, it's not a problem too.

After this interview the company will inform RE whether they want you or not. So maybe within the same day u will receive reply from your agent.

Tried RE few years back too!

But then they took century years to get back to me!!!

Total disappointment.

By then, i already found myself a satisfied job.

what i remember before i had my job in singtel as a technician. i went to several's interview also.. the first one of cause sucky.. its nothing.. jus asking about your reference about what u wanna work in.. and great. they let me wait for 2 hours for the 2nd interview. and the last time was to pay for the $50. they took only 2 mins. lyka WOAH? -_____- and the job. is i applied myself. not they find for me..

u are not wrking in RE right? they are juz a agent to help u find job..so can no need wear till so formal de...thru my exp..their service are fast..but onli for a short while..i rmb walking out of their building they straight away called me and ask mi go for interview..that was e last time they call..no more..

in e end i found a job myself =)

LOL kinda sucky. if i can choose again.. i rather choose JAC. what i heard was the company to pay them after they got us as new recruits in the company.. then i think 3 mths or 6mths u cant quit or cant get fired. if not u will be in a big lum sum in debt man..

OHHH...right, they're just slow. They called me like many, many times with different locations of the workplace but never did say when the interview was gonna be. Gave up after like, a month. =D

usually for recruit agency interview, i'll wear jeans. afterall they arent my final employer, they're just helping me to find job. if it is a direct link to the company itself, i'll just wear office wear, depends on the kinda post u're applying for
