Default Insurance Underwriting

Hi,

I'm looking for Whole Life Insurance with Critical Illinesses. I've some heart issue and I know it's likely to affect the premium I would have to pay. Instead of talking to Financial Advisors(FA) and put up the application before I know what is the extra charges and/or omission as a result of my bad health. I was thinking of writting to the underwriters first before I approach the FA.

Does anyone out there know how I take this approach? Is there any web-site that I could post my requirements and wait for the FA to quote me?

Thanks in advance!

FYI, anything health issues that affects the critical illness list, u will be loaded 50% eg overweight.

Furthermore yours is related to heart.

Sad to say, most insurance company will just reject your application on the spot, no point wriiting in.

He can still try and appeal, even if he cant get coverage for his heart issues, he might be able to cover himself from other instances etc.

You'll never know unless you try.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the information.

I've heart murmur and I've it checked again recently. Again, the doctor said it's nothing, just a very mild murmur. In fact, National Heart Centre doctor said that I shouldn't be getting a loading for that. He has advised me to try a few insurance companies which is what I'm doing now but due to the process of having to apply before underwriter will assess them is a process that I dislike.

If I manage to clear this, my whole family's insurance will go to that insurance company, if not, I would have to assess which one is better. Any experiences from anyone? Any recommendations? I know most Insurance Company wants a Sure Win case and I could understand that but sometime, I wonder how qualified are the underwriters on medical issues. I believe they are more of a risk management type who look only at my case on a profit and loss for the company or for their individual performance agenda. As a consumer, I hope not to fall into such a personal gain of others at the expense on my account.

Thanks!
