What are your opinions on being in-character while cosplaying? I find it a lot more fun to, to a certain extent, act as the character would. But it shouldn't always be taken so seriously. At the point where cosplaying isn't fun anymore is the point where you're too in character.

What do you guys think?

Erm.. don't really get what you mean. In-character during the event only.. or do you mean some ppl get carried away and behave like their character even on normal days? The latter is just.. plain weird. Too obsessed maybe? xP

If your actions are close to the original character, it'll be very good...

Oh...! If that's the case... SURE! The closer you act like your character, the better, ne. That's what cosplay is about.. not just the dressing up but also actually looking the part.

personally, it is fun to be in character, BUT i cant stay in character for long >_>;;

But I'll try to be more in character. Problem is, some characters are nasty and whenyou act like them, some people may not like it. So, there is a limit and dun be too obsessed. Other than that, have fun

I don't think it has to be so serious cause there are quirks we have that we can't restrains. like going around with a camera and taking photos. XD We don't see our characters do that but we love to. and sometimes you can't help smiling even if your character never.

So i think it good to be in character but give some leeway for the things that you do OOC.

mm.. i actually chose a character w similar characteristics as myself (except height =.=").. so it's quite ok being in character.. except i don't go around saying dattebayo after every sentence..

Cosplayers should be having fun all way through the event.

Just get into your chara when someone wants a shot of you, that would be suffice.

But no harm having some fun during photo taking

Well, when during cosplay you must be very same as what the Anime show.. Like Behavior, Charater, Attitude and others. I had train for very long until the day come.. 20Sept'08, hope to turn out profesinal cosplayers as Uzumaki Naruto =D
