ice cream shops:
- Häagen-Dazs
(is the richest in taste of all ice cream. I will go for this anytime. A small amount of HD ice cream will make you content). All HD's flavours is good except the green tea which is too milky. Not "tea-ish" enough. The best flavour is likely tiramisu. Their vanila based ice cream is a must try. You will find enlightenment how vanilla ice cream sld taste. real solid. HD's ice cream is unbeatable not by any other brands. Of course the price is premium too but its worth it. Their waffles with ice cream is the best of the lot. Otherwise their takeway pints is also value for money. Trick is to buy the pints from the outlet itself and not supermarkets. Those from supermarkets may have defroze and freeze back again. The taste is definitely less rich than those you buy straight from the outlet. No worries about melting as they sell with dry ice.

- For green tea ice cream can go to azubu sabo. There is a japanese restaurant at millenia that serves very good green tea ice ceam but sadly they do not do take away. so azubu sabo will be good. For cheaper alternative can eat this green tea ice cream just outside carrefour at suntec. $3 a cone and is acceptably nice.

- daily scoop, sunset way
(very good ice cream. value for money. The durian flavour is the best of the lot. A very worth try. Hd wins this but they actually serve more "local" flavours like durian, chendol, apple pie, etc. )

- Creamery, Serene Centre
(worth a try but I will not go back to this except for the "very berry" flavour which is similar to Haagen Dazs strawberry cheesecake falvour. HD's is still much better though. I like their latte flavour and chendol. The choc flavour, reverso is also not bad. I like Daily scoop better than this though.)

- Ice cream chef
(nice place to try the mixing of toppings into the ice cream). Ice cream served at this place is better than Cold Rock at holland village. Cold Rock which is a franchise from Australia serves ice cream which taste too sugary. The ice cream taste like it uses flavouring and is not rich at all. I will only try for the concept but will not be a returning customer. Could be cuz the ice cream is imported and ice crystals may have formed between the ice cream causing it to taste diluted and sugary.
